The Archive of Dark by Kirstine Roepstorff is an epilogue to her long engagement with darkness, a book project that closes out two exhibitions — Influenza, Theatre of Glowing Darkness (2017) and Renaissance of the Night (2018). Historical images are woven together into a dense, organic and emotional narrative, accompanied by letters from a range of writers reflecting on perception, intellect, spirit, science, and art. Case-bound in linen cloth, the book comes in four cover variants, each pairing a different combination of images.
