일본의 이웃 간 정보 공유 폴더인 '가이란반 kairanban' 개념에서 이름을 가져온 출판 프로젝트입니다. 일본에서 활동하는 아티스트들의 최근 작업을 모으며, 각자가 직접 선택한 이웃에게 바통을 넘기는 방식으로 구성됩니다. 지리적·제도적·세대적 논리가 아니라 선택적 친화력의 상호작용을 따라, 아티스트들이 직접 그려나가는 일본 예술계의 지도입니다.

This publishing project takes its name from kairanban, the Japanese neighborhood folder used to circulate information door to door. It gathers recent work by artists based in Japan, with each contributor passing the baton to a neighbor of their own choosing. The result is a map of the Japanese art scene drawn by the artists themselves, following the logic of elective affinity rather than geography, institutions, or generation.
