This type specimen book grew out of an experiment by ISIA Urbino students with Radim Peško and Jonathan Pierini, who took inscriptions carved into the courtyard of the Ducal Palace in Urbino as their starting point for exploring Renaissance letterforms through a range of techniques. It includes texts by Francesco Delrosso, Stuart Bertolotti-Bailey, and James Langdon, among others.
