This book expands a site-specific installation Batia Suter created using TU Delft's glass slide archive. Used in mechanical engineering lectures between 1900 and 1960, the visibly worn slides document machines, industrial materials, and production processes, while visually reflecting on the entanglement of humans and machines. Many of the compositions layer multiple images into montages, generating new, transformed shapes and associations.
