In the 2000s he shifted his focus from commissioned work toward his own practice, and since returning to France in 2006 he has divided his time between Paris and Barcelona. Having long drawn everyday, unfashionable objects, tools and appliances, industrial architecture, public housing, he turns here to greenhouses, inviting us to share in the moment when a greenhouse's purpose, built to protect what's inside from the outside and unchanged in form ever since, becomes beauty itself.
