《DUEL/DUO》는 긴장과 끌림, 지연으로 엮인 두 편의 시각적 연작을 소형 판형에 나란히 묶은 아티스트 북입니다. 각 권은 흰 여백과 노란 태양의 수평 띠, 색면, 중심 도상이라는 절제된 시각 문법으로 이루어진 열세 점의 정사각형 회화를 담고 있으며, 고정된 틀 안에서 미세한 변주가 강조점을 옮겨갑니다. 《DUO》에서는 한 그루의 나무가 고요하고 연약하게 화면 중심을 지키며 시선을 늦추고, 《DUEL》에서는 시선이 작가의 작업실로 접혀 들어가 반복이 압박으로, 몸짓은 연약함으로 바뀝니다. 두 권 사이에는 불균형에 뿌리내린 끌림이 자리하며, 연약함이 리듬을 이끄는 역설적인 사랑의 형태를 보여줍니다.

DUEL/DUO is an artist's book pairing two small-format visual series bound together by tension, attraction, and delay. Each volume contains thirteen square paintings built from a restrained visual grammar, white margins, a horizontal band of yellow sun, flat color, a single central motif, where subtle variations shift the emphasis within a fixed frame. In DUO, a single tree holds the center quietly and fragilely, slowing the gaze; in DUEL, the gaze folds inward toward the artist's studio, where repetition becomes pressure and gesture becomes fragility. Between the two volumes lies an attraction rooted in imbalance, forming a paradoxical shape of love in which fragility carries the rhythm.
